SGRE Park Important Information

Dear Homeowners,

Below is some important information about the SGRE Park. Please read the entire email.

- The road down to the lower park that was damaged during the recent storm has been repaired. As such, motorized vehicles can again be driven down to the lower park. Thanks to Jim Harrington and Ron McPherson, work was done to divert the water so that it would not erode the road out during heavy rains. We are testing to see if this concept will work, and if so, we can work on a more durable solution moving forward. So far it has held up well. - Work has been done to clean up the park after last year's flooding to ensure that it remains useable. Everyone is encouraged to utilize it and to help preserve it as a wonderful and valuable asset to the neighborhood. As such... - Please use caution as the San Gabriel is a natural river, there is wildlife present (snakes, beavers, deer; etc...), and poison ivy is in the brushy areas. - Please be prudent when deciding to take motorized vehicles down to the park area after rain. The ground becomes soft and it is easy for motorized vehicles to leave ruts in the ground by just driving on it. These ruts can be unsightly, can cause injury to people walking in the park, and can make it harder for our landscapers to mow (which could result in them raising our costs for mowing the park area). It can also tear up the road down to the lower park. It may be more prudent at times to park up at the entrance to the park and walk. - For the reasons cited above, please do not joyride in the park by doing "donuts" as this tears up the ground. - Please do not leave any trash in the park area when using it. - Please do not alter or damage any HOA property including barriers or signs. - A reminder that brush from residents' properties is not to be placed in the park. This rule was suspended for a period of time due to specific events; however, it has been reinstated for some time now. - We will continue to clean up downed trees and storm debris moving forward. It is a slow process, but we are making progress. - Please notify the Board at info@psprop.net if you observe any suspicious activity or issues at the park.
